Royal Mail PIP Boxes for Large Letters and Small Parcels
PIP stands for Pricing in Proportion, the way Royal Mail prices post by size as well as weight. These brown cardboard postal boxes are made to the Large Letter and Small Parcel size bands, so a slim, strong box can go through the post at the right size rather than as a bigger parcel.

Which PIP Box Do I Need?
Large Letter boxes are 20mm deep and suit flat items such as books, DVDs, cosmetics, jewellery, socks and phone cases. Royal Mail’s Large Letter limits are 353 × 250 × 25mm and 750g, so check the packed thickness and weight before posting. Small Parcel boxes are 66mm deep, for items that are too thick for a Large Letter.
Royal Mail sets its own size bands and prices, so check the current limits on the Royal Mail website before you post.
